1. Overview
Portico ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using our website, application, connector, and mobile Connector apps.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, workspace name, password hash, and billing details processed by our payment provider.
- Operational data: properties, Booking and Airbnb listings, calendars, messages, and finance summaries you choose to sync into Portico.
- Connection data: platform account labels, session health metadata, and sync timestamps.
- Platform logins (when you choose to save them): Booking.com and Airbnb usernames (or emails) and passwords. Passwords are encrypted at rest on Portico servers. We send them only to Portico Connector on devices you have linked to your workspace (computer, iPhone, or Android) so those apps can sign you in and refresh the session. We never show the password again in the website after you save it.
- OTP relay (optional): if you enable SMS assistance, we may temporarily process a one-time verification code from Booking or Airbnb and the last digits of the linked phone number. Codes expire within minutes and are not retained after use.
- Device data: connector and mobile app version, operating system, and diagnostic logs when you report an issue.
- Usage data: pages visited, feature usage, and performance metrics to improve reliability.
3. How we use information
- Provide, secure, and improve the Service.
- Authenticate users and maintain workspace isolation.
- Process subscriptions and send transactional notices.
- Sign you in to Booking.com and Airbnb from Connector on your linked devices.
- Monitor connection health and refresh sessions when they expire.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
4. Mobile SMS permissions
On Android, the Portico mobile app may request permission to read incoming SMS messages containing Booking or Airbnb verification codes when you explicitly enable OTP assistance. We parse only the numeric code required for login and do not upload full message history.
On iOS, system limitations apply. Where automatic SMS reading is unavailable, Portico may offer notification-based capture or manual confirmation flows.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Infrastructure providers that host the Service under contract.
- Payment processors (e.g. Stripe) for billing.
- Professional advisers when required by law.
6. Retention
We retain account and operational data while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. Saved Booking.com and Airbnb passwords are kept while the connected account exists; deleting that account removes them. OTP codes are deleted immediately after consumption or expiry.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest for platform passwords, access controls, and workspace isolation. Connector retrieves a saved password only with a device key you paste into that app. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong Portico password and protect your devices.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
9. International transfers
We may process data in Australia and other countries where our providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
